With huge regret Bruce Dickinson’s The Mandrake Project show is cancelled tomorrow (June 3rd) at Arenale Romane in Bucharest, Romania.

Various members of the band and crew have been affected by a flu-like virus since the start of the European leg of the tour, and by the London show Bruce was also starting to get sick. He managed to complete the Paris show, but by Groningen was having difficulties being able to sing at the standard both he and the fans expect. During last night’s show in Budapest it became obvious that Bruce was seriously unwell and, following advice, he now has to rest completely in order to preserve both his health and protect the rest of the shows on the tour.

Sadly, this means fans in Romania will miss out on seeing Bruce & his band perform at this time.

Bruce Dickinson says, “I have been pushing my voice through a viral infection for the past few shows. I was hoping that the 2 days after the Dutch shows would have been enough vocal rest, but the Budapest show was a real struggle. The audiences have been fantastic, but I have a duty to the rest of the tour and a responsibility to look after my instrument….it’s the only one I’ve got!
With a very heavy heart I have had to make the decision to cancel tomorrow’s show in Bucharest. It was not the outcome I hoped for. I am seeing a throat specialist Doctor tomorrow to confirm the wisdom of my decision, but after 40 years of singing I know when things are not right and the voice has to take a temporary rest.
I am gutted for the fans in Bucharest. I can only say sorry and thank you for your support and understanding.”

The value of the tickets sold for the Bucharest concert will be refunded through the authorized ticketing platforms, iaBilet.ro and Entertix.ro

Bruce Dickinson a anunțat artiștii invitați să cânte în deschiderea concertelor europene din cadrul turneului The Mandrake Project, în care își va prezenta cel de-al șaptelea material solo, lansat pe 1 martie anul acesta.

Trooper vor împărți scena cu artistul pentru a doua oară la București, la aproape 16 ani de la concertul legendarei trupe Iron Maiden de pe Stadionul Cotroceni.

„Suntem cei mai fericiți oameni din lume în acest moment! Au trecut ceva ani de când Iron Maiden ne-au ales să cântăm alături de ei, iar acum Bruce Dickinson a făcut același lucru. Nu cred că este un secret pentru nimeni faptul că Trooper a pornit la drum datorită lui Bruce Dickinson! Anunțul a venit fix când eram la repetiții cu băieții. Am ieșit din sală, am vorbit, am plâns puțin, m-am șters la ochi și am intrat bărbătește să îi anunț pe colegi. Pentru un așa moment avem nevoie în 3 iunie de întreaga armată Trooper să fie prezentă în fața scenei! Ne vedem la Arenele Romane! a declarat Coiotu’.

Concertul va avea loc la Arenele Romane și face parte din turneul de promovare a albumului The Mandrake Project, primul material solo al artistului în aproape 20 de ani, programat pentru lansare la începutul anului viitor.

Cunoscut în întreaga lume ca unul dintre cei mai importanți și distincți vocaliști de heavy metal din toate timpurile, și ca solist al legendarei trupe Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson va lansa un nou album solo în primele luni ale anului 2024, sub egida BMG Records. Intitulat „The Mandrake Project”, materialul îi aduce din nou împreună pe Bruce Dickinson și producătorul Roy Z.

The Mandrake Project va fi al șaptelea album solo al lui Dickinson și primul lansat în aproape 20 de ani de la „Tyranny Of Souls”, din 2005.

Turneul va demara în luna aprilie a anului următor, cu primele date confirmate în Mexic și Brazilia, urmat de date în America și Europa, iar pe 3 iunie va ajunge și în România, la Arenele Romane din București.
